We need to build effective and peaceful relationships to control aggressive behaviors: Prof. Dr. Naumana Amjad, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIU

Nur International University (NIU) Lahore has organized a Seminar titled as “Psychology in service of society” on 6^th November, 2020 from 9:30am – 12pm in auditorium. The basic purpose of this seminar was to spread awareness about psychology for customized solutions, inform about character strengths and to build professional digital footprints.

Three speakers included Prof. Dr. Naumana Amjad, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nur International University, Ms. Mehak Ramzan, Assistant Manager CS at Star Technologies and Ms. Saima Asghar Riaz, International Consultant on Language Development affiliated with School of Education LUMS.  The seminar was given LIVE at NIU official social media platform as well.

The speakers stressed on the need of peaceful relationships, control on aggression and effective communication among the members of the society. It is important to understand the phenomenon of aggression and we need to classify our character strengths. Prof. Dr. Naumana shared her views that it is important to understand behaviors for leadership and improve ourselves through positive ways. Ms. Mehak informed regarding the character strengths i.e. love, gratitude and kindness whereas Ms. Saima Asghar shared her views regarding how we can build professional digital footprints and have an effective networking with other members of the society.
